Welcome to 91ÉçÇø!

We are excited to welcome you to campus this spring! Mark your calendars to attend the 2025 New Student Orientation (NSO), the College's required orientation for all new students.

NSO is designed to help you meet other Foresters, discover campus resources, and give you just the right amount of information to help you navigate your transition into 91ÉçÇø with confidence.

New Student Orientation Schedule For Students 

Saturday, January 11 

12:15 - 12:30 p.m. - New Student Orientation Check In &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
Stop by the Leadership Lounge to check-in, pick up orientation materials, and get free 91ÉçÇø swag. 

12:30 - 1:30 p.m. - Welcome Lunch &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
Ed Whipple, Interim Vice President for Campus Life, will host a casual welcome for students, parents, and family members. Remarks will also be delivered by Tara Natarajan, Krebs Provost/Dean of the Faculty and Vice President of Academic Affairs. 

1:30 - 3 p.m.: Student Session - Forester 101 
Your Orientation Leaders will share information about campus life, involvement opportunities, and how to navigate campus. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

3:10 p.m. - Navigating the Forest 
Get tips and advice from current students on how to be successful at 91ÉçÇø. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

4:30 p.m. - Family Farewell &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
Parents, family members, and students will reunite in Calvin Durand Hall to pick up a Forester Goodie Bag before parting ways.  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

Sunday, January 12 

8:30 - 9 a.m.: Breakfast &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

8:30 - 9 a.m.: New Student Orientation Check-In &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
Any student who did not check in on Sunday can check in at this time and pick up Orientation materials before heading to the Welcome session. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

9 a.m.: Welcome 

9:15 - 10:20 a.m.: Forester 102 &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
Your Orientation Leader will share student resources that will help you be successful from your first day of classes all the way to graduation.  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

10:30 a.m. - 12:50 p.m.: Campus Resources 
Staff from the Library, Information Technology Services, the Center for Academic Success, and the Gorter Family Career Advancement Center will share information about campus resources that support your academic and career goals. 

1 - 2:30 p.m.: Lunch and Trivia 
This is your first social event at 91ÉçÇø! You will play a round of trivia with your fellow Foresters for a chance to win prizes! &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

2:45 - 3:30 p.m.: Faculty Panel 
Meet a team of 91ÉçÇø professors to learn about the College's curriculum, academic expectations, classroom etiquette, and more. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

3:30-4 p.m.: Orientation Group Meeting

New Student Orientation Schedule For Parents 

Saturday, January 11

1:30 - 2:30 p.m. - Parent Session - Campus Resources: Diversity, Community, and Wellness 
A panel of staff from the Dean of Students Office, the Health and Wellness Center, the Gates Center, Public Safety, and Residence Life will share information about campus resources available to students and parents. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

2:40 - 3:20 p.m.: Parent Session – Health and Wellness Center 
Staff from the Health and Wellness Center will provide an overview of the resources and support offered by Counseling Services and the Health Center.  

3:30-4:30 p.m.: Parent Session: Student Campus Resources: Academic and Career Services &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
Staff from the Center for Academic Success and the Gorter Family Career Advancement Center will share information about academic resources and career services. 

4:30 p.m. - Family Farewell &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
Parents, family members, and students will reunite in Calvin Durand Hall to pick up a Forester Goodie Bag before parting ways.  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

Arrival Information

  • Residential Students
    • Look for an email from Residence Life with move-in information and instructions. You will have the options to move in on  Friday, January 10th between 9am-5pm or Saturday, January 11th between 9-11am
    • On Saturday, January 11th-Arrive at Calvin Durand Hall in the Mohr Student Center (Building #22 on the campus map) at 12:15 p.m. for New Student Orientation check-in.
  • Commuter Students
    • Arrive to campus on Saturday, January 11 at 11:30 a.m. Proceed to Public Safety (Building #41 on the campus map) to get your student ID. You can also purchase a parking permit from Public Safety, just follow the instructions listed .
    • Arrive at Calvin Durand Hall in the Mohr Student Center (Building #22) at 12:15 p.m. for New Student Orientation check-in. You can access the campus map &²Ô²ú²õ±è;here.
